A few key features of this App are:
The interactive aspect, you can react to what your friends are listening to and see similarities between your music.
The concert tracker, this displays any upcoming concerts near you based on your personal listening and recommends accordingly.
Add your concert tickets to your ticket library, Store a memorable collection right on your phone.
Music App
One of my favourite projects I have worked on is my music app which I created in my first year of studying.
I have a passion for music and concerts so this project was very exciting for me. I decided I could utilise my love for concerts and implement this in my project which is where I came up with the idea to combine the two.
What’s better than a music player? A music player AND concert tracker all in one. And for a bonus… Share and brag to your friends right on the app!

My design process
My design process
Firstly and most importantly I conducted some research into different popular music app interfaces such as Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon Music etc… I then noted why these apps performed so well, the similarities they all had and how I could integrate some of these features into my own app.
I then created some mood boards to visualise the overall look and style that I wanted my app to display. I made some mind maps and wireframes for my early ideas.
I quickly realised the key component I needed for this project was going to be a toolbar and a set of icons. I created my icons and started wire-framing.
I created my first high resolution mockups but still was not 100%. I received feedback on these and started making changes before presenting this project.
After presenting this project I received even more feedback to perfect this app. Most of the feedback I received was about spacing and to label my icons.
I prototyped this design so it is also functional.
A more in-depth walk through of the design and prototyping can be found on my Notion blog.
